.SUPASKUA.COM DAY 1

The day started with little expectations, some emails were received but no

true conformation as to how many boats would make this day a success. Then the boats began to arrive eight in total, with half

experiencing the georges river for the first time. not long after leaving como, about five km, we had the water police right on

our tails, but he was cool just a safety check. then it was of to banks town for lunch hungry jacks and of course a lot of

swamping. after lunch we turned our attention to the wonie. and after pissing of the locals it was not long before the water

police made another showing. luckily no was driving when he came around the corner. the day ended with a water police

escort out of the wonie all the way to como, much to the amusement of the locals.as they pointed and smiled with

pleasure, finally to see skua's' obeying the speed limit, if only the same could be said for them.

ANYHOW a BIG THANKS to all who turned up to make this day (the first day of supaskua.com) a success.

see you all again on Day 2

DAY 2

OK what a day the eight who made it last time made it again.

once again the weather was perfect blue sky and 18 degrees. but the cold air did not stop a few fellahs from going for a free board.

alex lines up for a swamp;;;;

after a hounding from the water police we headed

to some calmer water, this is when alex and kyle showed off a little.then it was my turn.

DAY 3

what a morning with a few missing today's run 4 other commitments,(just slack i say and afraid of the cold) any how,the sky is

blue and five skua's made the day interesting, and a jet ski who for some reason could not leave alex alone, yes he got swamped

more than once.(see the vid. alextday3).

although i had a bad hangover i managed to get some still filming done. we drove to the end of the georges that is to the weir

opposite Liverpool station a first time for many. it was good to see jason who has a 40 merc this man took the shot of the day

with calm water and a smooth driving style he showed how much fun these toys are.(see the vid thej).

the water police did not show once therefore no hassles. apart from some kids dropping rocks at us as we passed under the

bridge near georges hall.

a note to all bring padding for the drivers seat go to clark rubber, buy a yoga matt for $60this will cover all three seats.you can

buy straps from whitworths in caringbah.dont buy ones with metal.(they will rust).

see you all on DAY4

DAY4. this day goes to susan, dave & I.

DAY 5 a better turn out even though the wind made a challenging drive for all of us as we made our way to Bundeena. many

boaters took little time to show their dislike to our unique driving style, they just don't understand,a common prejudice that

all skua drivers must cop on the chin .anyhow some calm water was found and some big sits and swamping done .Steve with his

3 cylinder 30 took the sit of the day, steveday5. this guy has a smooth style, and good control. alex showed off with some

good skips and big swamps, alexday5.

DAY6 the warm weather got more boats out this time, and also the school holidays.

it was good to see people had their priorities right, they put the grand final aside to make day six a great day. although some received a few fines for tame reasons this was not a kill joy.

some threats were made about canceling licenses and rego, but thankfully this did not come to pass.

DAY7 everything is coming soon, but i must say the steigers were awesome to watch, if you ever want to be thrilled in a supaskua ask them to take you for a spin. they rock. and be prepared to have the shit scared out of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

the months are moving too fast already we have seen another skua day before

day 7 footage is up, a big thanks to all who made it today, six skua's in total and two 12ft speed boats, one of these is driven

by the national wing boat champion Steve Scott, if you have seen the video footage you will know how fast these boats can

move. unfortunately these guys only hung around till picnic point, due to a lack of fuel availability, thanks for making a showing

Steve, also making a showing for the first time were the steiger brothers, again i will say these guys are awesome, they can

seriously handel a skua, i am sure there boat was vertical more than once on this day. these guys run a ss prop about 12pitch,

as you can see this helps hold the nose high and gives better bite than the larger pitch props, therefore better control when

womping swamping and getting vert.

they day started of with clean blue sky's and a light wind which made perfect weather for supaskua driving, as we headed up

the river it became apparent that the warm weather is encouraging more people to mess up the river, those people that take

their boat out once a year and who are totally incompetent. it is usually these guys that are quick to judge the skua's. if only they

did not judge us by there own incompetence, anyhow after stopping at the usual spot for lunch we were able to find a quiet

spot were we did not cause annoyance to others and so therefore we went crazy, Brendan provided the candid moment of the

day when he fell of the front of the skua, this was of course after the steiger took him for a spin, a common theme is emerging

the beachie, and i am sure at the next meeting there will have to be a comp for the longest beachie. any way it was awesome if

you weren't there you should have been, be there next time then. AGAIN THANKS TO ALL WHO MADE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
